Areas I assess
Choose the spaces that matter most to you: bedrooms, children’s rooms, living and dining areas, the kitchen or a home office.
Any of these can form part of a Focused Assessment or Home Assessment.
We agree the rooms and priorities before booking.
Main Bedroom

I assess the area around the bed, nearby wiring and devices, and the lighting you use before sleep and during the night.
Where practical, we compare readings after moving or disconnecting equipment and discuss adjustments that fit your sleeping routine.

Children’s Bedroom
A focused review of the child’s sleeping area
The bedroom assessment is adapted to your child’s sleeping space, routine and the equipment used nearby.

I measure wireless signals, electric and magnetic fields around the bed, and assess the lighting used in the evening and at night. We also review nearby equipment such as audio devices, baby monitors, tablets and chargers.

Practical changes are tested where possible and discussed with you, taking the child’s routine and the family’s needs into account.
Living Areas, Kitchen & Home Office

Living, Dining & Kitchen Areas
Home Office
These spaces may contain routers, smart TVs, speakers, chargers, lamps and kitchen appliances used throughout the day.

I assess the main sources and lighting where you normally sit, prepare food and cook. Where useful, we test changes to equipment placement, connections and use.

For induction hobs, we also discuss practical use and recommendations from the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health (BAG), with relevant guidance provided during your visit.
Home offices can place you close to screens, laptops, chargers, power supplies, speakers, docking stations, routers and cables for long periods.

The assessment focuses on the workstation itself: what is close to the body, how equipment is powered and connected, and the lighting used throughout the working day. Where useful, charging, cable arrangements and equipment placement can be tested directly.
Optional add-on
Router Review & Configuration
Your assessment includes measuring Wi-Fi signals and discussing their sources. This optional add-on involves accessing your router’s settings, making agreed changes and testing the connections your household uses.

Depending on the router and your household’s needs, this may include:

-
Scheduling Wi-Fi to switch off overnight.
-
Disabling an unused 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz Wi-Fi band.
-
Switching off unused guest networks and reducing transmit power where supported.
-
Reviewing router placement, mesh units and repeaters.
-
Discussing wired connections and alternatives to powerline adapters.
Â
Changes are agreed with you and checked afterwards, with attention to the devices and connections your household needs. Allow at least 30 additional minutes, depending on the setup.

Scope of the assessment
Restwell provides an environmental assessment of the home and sleeping environment. It does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment and is not an electrical safety inspection or certification. Where measurements indicate that part of the fixed electrical installation may warrant further investigation, this should be assessed by a qualified electrician.
